In this year's edition of MagnetChess, there's a new rule that makes the ending even more thrilling.

When you place your second-to-last magnet and only have one left, you must quickly say “Chess.”

If your opponent manages to say "Chess" before you, you have to drop your last magnet straight into the middle of the playing area.

Any magnets that move become yours, and suddenly the whole game can turn around.
